Welcome to the
website of the New World Čuvač Society, which was formed in
January 2012 in response to the need for an
independent, trustworthy source of
intelligible information about the Slovenský čuvač breed
in
the English language.
Our aim is not to
be a club, but a center for information on a
variety of topics, from details about the
breed, breeding and importing puppies or dogs
from the breed's homeland, Slovakia, or
elsewhere in Europe.
Because one of the
Society's founders is a professional Slovak
and Czech translator, the website will be able
to provide first-hand information from
breeding consultants for the national clubs in
the Slovak and Czech Republics, as well as
interesting articles translated from those
languages about questions of breeding and
training.
Perhaps one of the
most valuable elements of the Society's work
will be the Ask the Expert column,
in
which the breeding consultant in Slovakia will
answer questions from the website hosts and
its readers -- with all the information being
presented in readable English translations.
Although the
current website is only in its earliest
incarnation, it will gradually grow, so please
check for our updates.
